Hall of Mirrors

On this site you will find stories of all types (if, of course, ‘all types’ is defined as ‘predominantly in the genre of speculative fiction’). Descriptions going into further detail can be found below. In order to make things easy, however, there are category archive links in the navigation bar and sidebar links to the most recent entry in each category.

My aim is to post both serialized stories and stand-alones. Ideally, every Thursday will see an update to the current serial storyline. In addition, at least once a month I will post a story in one of the categories not currently running a serial.

I also release a monthly newsletter. The newsletter features a bonus story not posted to the site. More often than not, this story keys in to the current serial, and provides extra information on characters or events therein. However, the bonus story is not necessary to the advancement of the plot, so there’s no need to worry that you’ll miss something critical if you choose not to sign up for my newsletter. In addition, the newsletter will feature book reviews, the odd anecdote, the worst pun I’ve encountered in the past month, and a smattering of other bits and bobs that I find either useful or interesting. You can sign up for my mailing list on the right hand side of this page.

Well, there you have the basics. Enjoy!

BardolatryBardolatry is an Urban Fantasy Serial featuring one Adrian Bard, an American Sorcerer in London as notorious as his pseudonym.  Unfortunately for Adrian, his writing skills exceed his wizardly prowess.  He’s far better suited to wielding words than wielding a wand.  Adrian’s world is a melange of occult mystery and theatrical magic.  Too bad most sorcerers, witches and wizards et al are more interested in the magic and less so in the theatre.  If they enjoyed acting as much as alchemy, Adrian might have fewer problems.

Cinedynamics – Stories set in the universe of Cinedynamics (so called for the Laws which apply there) are Secondary World tales which mix swords and sorcery, humor and irreverence and other such bits and bobs.  These stories revolve around a sorcerer named Gavriel and a swordswoman named Vi (sometimes called the Blushing Violent Violet of Vyne – but rarely never to her face), a derring-duo of adventurers fighting for gold and glory amidst the tangled streets of Vyne, jewel of the Empire of Lakhses-Holz.  Any resemblance between persons, places or things (or other, stranger, noun permutations) is strictly coincidental.  Really.

Etcetera – This category comprises those stories which are stand-alone or otherwise unrelated to either the Bardolatry or Cinedynamics settings.  There may be experimental tales, short serials in other worlds or even excerpts from longer projects.  Given enough time, some plays, monologues or various permutations of telescripts might show up as well.  Roll the dice.  See what comes up.
